Welcome to L’Amitié Press

An emerging lesbian-centred initiative.

Our Approach

L’Amitié Press is a grassroots publishing collective run by lesbians for the benefit of lesbians. It seeks to support and publish works which cover little explored topics as well as those which emphasise dialogue and friendly debate.

The name refers to the Temple of Friendship that was situated in 20 Rue Jacob, Paris in the backyard of the infamous and brilliant lesbian salonnière Natalie Barney.

The home of Villanelle Magazine

Villanelle is a Lesbian literary and art magazine which publishes two issues a year based around a theme. With an alternative and interdisciplinary perspective, Villanelle seeks work by lesbians and from a lesbian lens.
